Washington Hobo Culture

Text on the hat says, ‘Paulson leaves Hobo signs all over Washington.’ This is the second of my ‘New Depression Art Commodity" series of paintings. This is on an 18"X14" canvasboard, and I have shoehorned treasury secretary Henry Paulson’s face into a doll. The Capitol Building is behind, and he has left hobo signs all over town, letting people know who to watch out for and who’s a soft touch! I messed his teeth up a bit to make him more hoboish, and gave him lobster claws for no particular reason, other than I like painting them, they make me think of summer and clambakes. A littlebird says, "high risk investment!"
